DLÙ

Funky backline. Pulsing dance rhythms. Disco. Plus original Gaelic song and driving tunes. Dlù are a high-energy five-piece indie trad band from Glasgow, and one of the most respected voices of their generation.

Comprising Moilidh NicGriogair, Zach Ronan, Aidan Spiers, Andrew Grossart and Seoras Chlad, the band’s eclectic musical backgrounds fuel their original melodies and arrangements, giving them a sound that is entirely their own. Their name derives from the Gaelic word ‘dlùth’, meaning tight-knit and close, a tribute to the long-lasting friendship between members and to their shared roots at Glasgow Gaelic School.

Proud Gaelic speakers, Dlù are fired up to keep their language and culture alive through music that speaks to lifelong traditional music fans and first-time listeners alike. They thrive off audience energy, using it as inspiration for a continuously evolving sound which they capture in their recorded work.

Their debut album Moch was released in February 2022, earning international radio play and glowing reviews. Their follow-up Close To arrived in June 2024, further cementing their reputation as a band pushing Gaelic music into exciting new territory. In January 2026 they sold out Saint Luke’s in Glasgow, a 600-capacity venue, and are releasing a string of singles throughout 2026.
